Haley did a five-part interview with Michael Slezak of Idoloonies filled with a ton of stuff we haven't heard before in previous interviews. They talked about her pre-idol band, her song choices, work ethic, her Bennie and the Jets turnaround, her duet of Moanin' with Casey, Rollin' in the Deep stress, the dark House of the Rising Sun performance and Siobhan, bad critiques on Earth Song and celebrity support, the lack of post-idol comments from the judges, working with Lady Gaga, the fall on the Led Zepplin song and why she chose the song, her homecoming and performing with her sister, surviving the lyrics of Rhiannon and You Oughta Know (I knew this was directed at the judges!), her thoughts during her elimination, and Bono/Spiderman cutting her single performance on the finale.

New Haley Interview with Canadian Magazine: Rockstar Weekly

Check out this great (and lengthy) interview Haley did with Rockstar Weekly, a magazine from Canada. In it, she talks about her celebrity supporters, her favorite idol cover, singing with her dad, hanging out with Scotty and Lauren, the judges, if she would have changed anything, what America learned from her, being in the bottom 3 four times, the results of her elimination - what was going through her head and what was happening backstage , showing her personality, past idols from Chicago, goals for the tour, the Casey rumors, her biggest memory from the hometown visit, analyzing the judges' critiques, what she thinks her album will be like, working with celebrity mentors, who she would like to work with in the future, her top moment of the show, and her thoughts on whether being in top 3 or the finale would have been better for her.
It was fun to see you singing with your dad. Tell us what that was like the first time when you were eight years old, singing with your dadâs band.
Oh, man. Just was amazing. I mean my parents have basically just taught me the rules of the stage and everything since I was eight. I mean the first big thing I ever got to do was, it was on my ninth birthday that day and I got to play in an International Tattoo Festival and it was huge. I sang âBlueâ actually, from LeAnn Rimes, because thatâs when I had figured out that I could yodel. I heard LeAnn doing it and was captivated by it, so I did it, but the tattoo machine stopped everybody said and they were really cool, and I think I was overwhelmed and probably cried afterwards but it was just an amazing feeling. Then going from that to on Wednesdayâitâs always been a dream of mine to get somewhere and even, well just as important to me it would be an honor to have my mom, my dadâto have them with me up there. So, I got to go back home and play with their band, and then having him on the stage and actually getting toâjust give him a couple of licks and show America what he can do, that was just so special to me.
I was going to ask you, what goals you have for your time on stage for this tour coming up?
Oh, man. Performing is such a different ballgame in front of the judges. Performing on stage is what Iâve done since I was a kid and itâs what, the passion that has started from the very beginning for me, and thatâs what Iâm going to enjoy. Just letting loose, knowing Iâm not going to get judged one more time. Iâm just going to love that crowd and look out into each and every seat and show them whyâhow much I appreciate them and want to be there for them.- Rockstar Weekly
