The two had to fight to get [Moanin'] on the tour's set list, father Harry Reinhart said, but the reception it got showed that the kids' instincts are spot on: You don't have to baby a crowd with only Top 40 hits or classic rock.

Haley's Signature Growl Was Non-Existent Until Hollywood Week

During a phone interview with The Detroit News, Haley revealed that she never growled when she sang before she went on Idol. She went on to say that although the growl is her signature thing, she's not about to go overboard with it.

"It's funny, I never really did that at all before I got onto 'Idol,' " says Reinhart, on the phone last week from a tour stop in Charlotte, N.C. "And I remember during 'God Bless the Child' that sound just came out of me, and there was no turning back."

The Top 11 Talk with "The Voice" at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Prior to the concert in Duluth, Haley and the rest of the Top 11 of American Idol met with the kids of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. They also talked with Wendy Threatt of The Voice, a local multimedia studio owned by Ryan Seacrest. Haley said she would love to duet with Casey on an album if given the opportunity.

All of them squeezed into the studio to talk for 30 minutes with Wendy Threatt, the Voice jock who used to work at Star 94, Ryan's first employer. Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart were the gabbiest, with Casey Abrams, James Durbin and Jacob Lusk contributing plenty as well. Quietest? Paul McDonald and Pia Toscano. Pia and Haley seemed very tight, sitting together in the studio and during the autograph session afterwards.
